About
Code is the easy part. The harder problem is deciding what to build, and building it so it still makes sense a year later.
That's the part of the job I care about most — reading an ambiguous requirement and turning it into a system that holds up under real usage, not just a demo. Seven years in, that means being as comfortable in a product conversation as in a pull request: pushing back on scope when it doesn't serve the user, choosing boring technology when boring is correct, and leaving code in a state the next engineer — often me, eight months later — can actually work with.
